Towhee Club Opens New Clubhouse and Birdsong Social Restaurant

Spring Hill, Tenn. (Nov. 3, 2022) – Towhee Club, the only public Arnold Palmer-designed golf course in the Nashville area, has announced the completion and opening of its new clubhouse, which includes restaurant Birdsong Social and an open-air outdoor event pavilion. Anticipation among golfers and non-golfers alike throughout the community has been growing since clubhouse construction began last year.

The all-new clubhouse merges a classic clubhouse vibe and pro shop with a contemporary and welcoming dining scene in Birdsong Social. The restaurant features a bright, airy dining area, a wrap-around bar with exterior seating, and an expansive patio that overlooks Towhee Club’s putting green and driving range. Birdsong Social offers rotating lunch and dinner menus focused on easy-going, seasonal ingredients accompanied by signature cocktails, craft beer, and a curated wine list.

Steps from Birdsong Social, families and friends can enjoy classic lawn games, such as horseshoes and bocce ball, as well as community fire pits. All of these amenities are available to the public. Located next to the clubhouse is the new covered outdoor pavilion, perfectly suited for private events of all sorts including golf outings, tournaments, weddings and celebrations.

“We saw the need for a new clubhouse and restaurant in order to meet the demand of the area and reach the level of success we intend for the club,” said Brian Gordon, general manager of Towhee Club. “Our goal is to provide a place where both golfers and non-golfers alike can come together to socialize and enjoy a sense of community— these additions give our guests more of an opportunity to do just that.”

In 2021, Towhee Club completed renovations to the golf course under the leadership of its owners Nathan and Joel Lyons. Renovations included completely redesigned and renovated bunkers, greens re-grassed with Tif-Eagle Bermuda grass, and an extensive irrigation project. Cart bridges were also repaired, and a new fleet of golf carts was added to improve the player experience.

“As the only public Arnold Palmer-designed golf course in the greater Nashville area, Towhee Club has undergone a tremendous transformation,” said Mike Nolen, a Bobby Jones Links Partner and vice president of operations. “Every part of the Towhee Club experience has been thoughtfully considered, from the greens and the bunkers to the clubhouse and the golf carts, and we are excited to present Towhee Club to Middle Tennessee and beyond.”
