Congratulations to Amy Buchanan, Vice President of Revenue Management, on earning a Bobby Jones Links Grand Slam Award. When a prospective client needed insight into how our clubs are driving top-line revenue through member sales, Amy stepped up without hesitation. She compiled results from clubs across our portfolio in just one day, demonstrating what teamwork and service excellence look like. Congratulations to Matty for winning a Grand Slam award! Last year, a golfer from New York came to play at Fox Creek. He is a collector of logo golf balls. Unfortunately we were out of stock. Recently he called to check if we had them back in stock, and we did! Our beloved Matty, everyone’s favorite manager at Fox Creek, took it upon him self to send him a logo ball on his own dime. The customer was extremely happy, and raved about Matty’s professional level of customer service. It’s things like this that make Matty a pleasure to work with!

Congratulations to Savannah Reed for winning the Cloverleaf Award for January! While the food and beverage operation was closed for the month of January, Savannah took on the task of responding to all the event inquiries and helped fill an important service role for the club. She was able to confirm several events for 2026 while serving in this role. It was greatly appreciated by the management team!

Congratulations to Hector Tiu for winning the Cloverleaf award for January! Hector completed several maintenance tasks in the clubhouse that were outside of his normal job as a line cook. He was instrumental in containing a major sprinkler leak in the front lobby. His efforts keep water from flooding the front lobby floor and causing considerable water damage. Additionally, he replaced two doors, broke down, and removed old equipment. Thank you Hector!

Today we were happy to honor Parks Ledwell with our Cloverleaf award. As our company reinforced and reinvigorate our service standards, Parks was right on cue when we found that he carries our service standard card in his wallet during a huddle session. He not only follows service standards but lives by making a difference each day. Congratulations Parks!

Congratulations to our Executive Chef, James Regan, for winning Chef of the Year! James is no stranger to success. The 2025 club survey results were the highest we have ever seen, with member satisfaction approaching 90%. He has the skills to work from an extremely limited kitchen and deliver spectacular food not only daily but also for memorable private functions. He is a team player who can be found on the floor helping the front of the house, pulling carts, if necessary, personally cooking the delicious entrees, all while giving all the credit to his team. Congratulations to Indian River Golf Club for being named Public Club of the Year! The club has overcome a myriad of obstacles and achieved the highest results since BJL assumed operations. With extremely limited resources, they were able to improve the conditions of the golf course, which translated into more rounds and revenue. While making improvements, they were able to reduce costs and improve profitability by over 19% over 2024. They have a small but talented team that all truly care about the property. They always strive for excellence and are always trying to make people happy.

Congratulations to The Ooltewah Club for winning Private Club of the Year for 2025! The Ooltewah Club truly set a new benchmark for itself. After 5 years under BJL, they truly had a monumental year in 2025. They increased revenues by over 13%. While increasing revenues, they were able to reduce expenses by over $50,000. This resulted in a net income gain of over $400,000. The team combined superior financial results with exemplary operational discipline, outstanding customer loyalty, strong team culture, and meaningful member engagement. Their consistent execution and leadership elevated the club to a new level. This would not have been possible without strong leadership and a complete team effort.

Congratulations to Brad Parker for being named General Manager of the Year for our public clubs! Brad is the consummate BJL team member. We know that he will say that winning this award is a team effort. The Club had one of the most challenging years a property can endure. There were extreme weather issues to address from an agronomic perspective, extremely unpleasant service issues, and a significant financial increase goal over the prior year to deliver to ownership; all of these were met head-on by the team. A plan was developed in early spring to address these issues, and the team worked on it every day. By year-end, these challenges had been overcome, and club had its most successful revenue year in history. In addition to his leadership role at the Club, Brad served as a Regional Manager, supporting three other clubs. Whether it was filling in for GMs, assisting with training, or handling client relations, his support played a significant role in the success of the other clubs he supports. It takes everyone to ensure success, and under his leadership, success was achieved.

Congratulations to Kori Isaac for being named General Manager of the Year for our private clubs! This manager transformed team performance and morale this year through consistent strategic leadership, clear communication, and a focus on measurable outcomes. Kori delivered exceptional results while developing people and strengthening cross-functional collaboration. She overcame large obstacles to outperform the budget, leading the team the entire time. She models our core values by transparent decision-making and fostering a culture of success in all departments. Kori successfully navigated a challenging board and capital funding process while ensuring the club runs smoothly, increasing member satisfaction in all departments.

Jason navigated the busiest and highest-revenue year in their food and beverage operations history. During a record-breaking season, Jason showed up every day with focus and commitment to succeed. Even while facing significant personal challenges, his attitude and drive never wavered. His resilience and commitment in the face of adversity set a powerful example for everyone around them.

Congratulations to Stephanie Rodgers for being named Food and Beverage Manager of the Year! Stephanie led a standout year across the entire operation. By building a strong team and reinforcing a service-first culture, she elevated the guest experience at every touchpoint. Through improved efficiencies and a focus on training, the operation saw significant growth in event business and repeat clientele. Restaurant revenues increased by more than $350,000 year over year, surpassing the $2 million mark for the first time in the facility’s history—an exceptional achievement and a well-earned honor.

Congratulations to Danny Graft for being named Superintendent of the Year for our private facilities! He continues to perform at a high-level year after year and achieved the highest member survey scores of any department, reflecting the trust, appreciation, and confidence the members have in his work and leadership. These results speak directly to his commitment to quality, communication, and continuous improvement. As a leader, Danny also demonstrated strong financial stewardship, finishing the year under budget and below the prior year’s expenses. In addition, he consistently supports other departments when time and staffing allow, reinforcing a true team-first culture. He is widely regarded as a collaborative partner, a dependable leader, and a genuinely great person to work with.

Congratulations to Kyle Macdonald for winning Superintendent of the Year for our public facilities! Kyle has consistently delivered excellence in course conditions and operational performance. Bobby Jones Golf Course continues to receive high marks in public golf surveys, particularly for course quality. The past year presented unique challenges, including significant storm damage that required extensive repairs during the first half of the season. Through leadership, resilience, and teamwork, Kyle guided the operation through adversity and delivered an outstanding year.

Congratulations to Bobby O'Brien for being named Golf Professional of the Year for our public facilities! Bobby demonstrated outstanding leadership while managing one of the busiest public golf operations in the region. He successfully balanced the needs of a large MGA, coordinated more than 40 outings throughout the year, and oversaw a strong, financially sound merchandise operation. With more than 58,000 rounds played in 2025, Bobby led an exceptional operation while maintaining a positive, team-first culture throughout the season.

Congratulations to Beth Blevins for being named Teaching Professional of the Year! Beth has gone above and beyond to create meaningful impact both at the facility and in the community. Since joining the team, Beth has expanded instructional programming each year, with a strong focus on growing junior golf and partnering with the PGA on initiatives such as HOPE and Her Shot. A valued team member and true champion of the game, Beth brings energy, inclusivity, and fun to everyone who wants to learn to play.

Congratulations to Taylor Keef for being named Membership Sales Person of the Year! Taylor is no stranger to a challenge and year after year continues to strive for excellence. In sales, there are order takers and hunters. A hunter is the perfect description for Taylor. Selling 117 memberships on a budget of 89 and yielding a +net 31 members couldn’t have happened without her ability to build meaningful relationships, seeking opportunities to grow brand awareness and build brand equity in the local market. She exceeded their initiation-fee budget by over $107,000 and their total membership plan by $113,065. This was no accident. It happened due to her focus, effort, creativity, and ability to get it and want it.

Congratulations to Anna Herbert for being named Sales Person of the Year for 2025! Anna has not only proven to be an expert in her craft but also extremely resilient. In a year where there were significant changes to the Club and a general uneasiness among the membership, she stayed focused and didn’t let the opportunity for excuses deter them from success. Not only is Anna the event salesperson of the year, but she was also the first to qualify for the Benjamins Club, with 100% of her plan booked by August. Congratulations Anna!

He has an operational mindset with a focus on fundamentals and has improved the education for the staff, providing good leadership. Congratulations to Steve Benedetti for winning Rookie of the Year for 2025! Steve's professionalism and leadership were immediately felt at his club. In addition to his strong leadership as General Manager, he also stepped in to sell memberships partway through the year, and as a result, the club had a third consecutive year of beating its membership plan. Under Steve's direction, the club had another strong financial year, and, more importantly, the facility has someone who is truly taking care of it and the staff.

Congratulations to Tyler Morse for winning Rookie of the Year for 2025! In his first formal leadership role, he demonstrated a desire to push the boundaries of what the club could produce. His knowledge of public golf significantly enhanced revenue and profitability at the club. He seamlessly performed the role's required duties and consistently demonstrated eagerness to learn and be coached. With his efforts and endless drive, the Frog is not just a great place to play golf; it is a place where the community gathers for fun and great food, even when they aren’t playing golf. Under his direction, The Frog had its most successful year in a long time, not only financially but also in driving the culture of Bobby Jones Links.

Congratulations to Jeff Cooper for winning Rookie of the Year for 2025. When BJL assumed management of the property, he was acting as golf course superintendent, general manager, and head golf professional. He has been instrumental in the planning for course upgrades, including a new equipment package as well as an upcoming greens renovation project. He is always striving for excellence on the golf course. He truly cares about the property and the team members, not just in his department, but lending a hand anywhere it’s needed. He can always be seen with a smile on his face, truly making people happy!

Congratulations to James Gonzales for winning Rookie of the Year for 2025! James and The Club at Forest Ridge were both new to BJL in 2025. Upon the partnership with BJL, it was decided we needed to change the membership structure, increase dues and initiation fees, and rebuild credibility with members and the local community. James remained open-minded, optimistic, and eager to learn and succeed. And, that is exactly what happened. The additional memberships that he pushed for in Q4 positioned the club with a strong enough member count and dues line to move forward with converting this long time semi-private golf club to a private country club in 2026.

When BJL was contracted to operate Saddle Creek ownership terminated the GM. Jeff, the Course Superintendent, stepped up and basically ran the club as acting GM. He worked tirelessly for two + months without a day off facilitating the transition to BJL. He handled the payroll, scheduling, invoicing, securing the Club's liquor license, getting the snack bar opened in order to service the golfers, etc., all while maintaining the golf course in excellent condition. He was a perfect example of Service Standards 12 and 13. Service Standard 12: Service excellence is a team effort. We step outside of our usual duties to assist our teammates. Service Standard 13: We create a positive and supportive team work environment, treating each other with respect and dignity.

Please help us congratulate Amy Buchanan on being awarded a Grand Slam Award! Amy Exemplified Service Standard #12 by stepping out of her usual duties to assist her teammates. Amy coordinated the creation of a sign honoring a donor at the Bobby Jones Golf Course. She excelled in communication and organization, managing the efforts of the designer and the printer. This task had a tight deadline, but she completed it with focus and determination.
