Our agronomic philosophy is simple: deliver outstanding playing conditions while meeting the financial goals of your club. We understand that exceptional turf quality is a cornerstone of the golf experience, and we have the expertise to deliver it across a variety of climates and grass types, from cool-season Bent grasses to the latest warm-season Bermuda hybrids.
Our team follows time-tested best practices to ensure:
Consistently superior turf conditions
Immaculate course presentation and attention to detail
Safe, efficient work environments for grounds staff
Responsible and sustainable environmental practices
Sustainability as a Standard
Environmental stewardship is integral to every Bobby Jones Links-managed course. Our agronomic programs emphasize the use of organic fertilizers where feasible, targeted chemical applications, water conservation, and the preservation of wildlife habitats. We also prioritize responsible stormwater management, ensuring that our practices support the health of the local ecosystem.
Expert Oversight and Collaboration
BJL’s agronomic leadership is headed by Ken Mangum, Vice President of Agronomy and a member of the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame. Ken collaborates directly with your course superintendent to develop a tailored agronomy plan and provide hands-on support through regular visits. His extensive knowledge and leadership ensure challenges are addressed promptly and course standards remain uncompromising. To further elevate performance across all clubs, we conduct regular superintendent seminars and virtual roundtables to share best practices, evaluate vendor performance, and assess equipment needs, creating a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
