Standing on a manicured green during a recent preview tour, General Manager Brian Conley said he’s seen quite a few courses in his time — including the championship set-up at Lanier Golf Club, which he formerly ran — but nothing like the new Bobby Jones.

The Bobby Jones Golf Course Foundation has announced that the new Bobby Jones Golf Course will re-open for public play on November 5, 2018, after a year-long, $23 million renovation.

Now, after a yearlong multi-million renovation that changed the property completely, the storied course is poised to present itself to a new generation.

There are high-powered Tesla charging hook ups at historic Clark’s Inn & Restaurant, with an impressive 17,750 square foot state-of-the-art Conference Center housing three breakout rooms that can accommodate 1,200 people.

Bobby Jones Links was hired in the Fall of 2010 to assist in elevating Forest Hills’ Masters™ week experience, driving more rounds and increasing revenue

This year the Pro/Am raised $6,500 for Bert’s Big Adventure, the selected recipient, bringing the total amount raised over the tournament’s six-year history to nearly $30,000. Previous beneficiaries include area cancer patients and the American Cancer Society.

While this was an aggressive goal, they felt confident this could be done, and their head golf professional, Mike Wooditch took accountability for the rock.
