Atlanta, GA (October 20, 2020) – The progressive Atlanta-based golf club management company, Bobby Jones Links is pleased to announce the hiring of golf industry veteran Scott Ferrell as Vice President of Development. Ferrell will draw from his 30 years in the industry and an extensive network to help Bobby Jones Links grow in various market segments.
In this role, Ferrell will work alongside fellow Wake Forest University graduate, Mark Oldham, to educate the marketplace on the management and marketing strengths of Bobby Jones Links. Additionally, the team will work to inform the marketplace of the exciting culture that Bobby Jones Links has created for its employees, clients, and members.
“This is a really good fit for me,” said Scott Ferrell, Vice President of Development at Bobby Jones Links. “I have followed Bobby Jones Links’ activities and growth in recent years, and I’m very excited about their mission. A wonderful employee culture exists there, which translates directly to how their clients are served. Bobby Jones’ well-known character and integrity are at the core of how the company is run, which is very compelling. I look forward to telling the Bobby Jones story and helping this great company grow.”
Prior to joining Bobby Jones Links, Ferrell spent 15 years as president of Gary Player Design, as well as 11 years in key marketing positions within the PGA TOUR’s TPC Network. Most recently, Ferrell served on the Board of OnLink, a golf course management software platform that was sold to John Deere Golf in 2019. In all these roles, Ferrell excelled in building industry relationships and developing new business initiatives that set the respective companies on a path of meaningful growth.
“We are so fortunate to represent one of the greatest and enduring names in golf,” said Whitney Crouse, one of the founding partners of Bobby Jones Links. “Having Scott join us after his success with another great brand and person, Gary Player, is another stroke of good timing and luck.”
