Veteran PGA professional and club leader brings nearly three decades of experience to Michigan properties

ALPHARETTA, GA – Bobby Jones Links (BJL), one of the fastest-growing club management and development companies in the industry, is pleased to announce the addition of Sandy Davison as General Manager of Sugarbush Golf Club and Captain’s Club Golf & Event Center in Michigan.

Davison joins Bobby Jones Links with more than 28 years of experience as a PGA golf professional and extensive expertise in upscale golf and club operations. A second-generation PGA Member who grew up immersed in the game, Davison has built an accomplished career leading operations at some of the most respected clubs in the country.

Davison excelled within the Professional Golfers’ Association of America early in his career, graduating first in his class in the PGA Golf Professional Training Program. He also became one of the first 28 PGA professionals to complete all six levels of the PGA Certified Professional Program.

Prior to joining Bobby Jones Links, Davison served as General Manager, Director of Golf, and Head Golf Professional at prestigious clubs and organizations across the country, including Troon Golf, Sage Golf Group, Mystic Creek Golf Club, Atlanta National Golf Club, Superstition Mountain Golf Club, The Club at Carlton Woods, Desert Mountain Club, Baltusrol Golf Club, and Paradise Valley Country Club.

Throughout his career, Davison has also played an active role in hosting several PGA TOUR, LPGA, and USGA events.

Beyond club leadership, Davison has also established himself as both an accomplished player and teacher. As an amateur, he competed in the United States Amateur and British Amateur Championships and earned Medalist honors at the prestigious North & South Amateur in Pinehurst, North Carolina.

His teaching background includes learning alongside and working with many of the game’s most respected instructors, including David Leadbetter, Dave Pelz, Jim Flick, Mike Malaska, Jack Lumpkin, and Davis Love Jr.

A native of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, Davison attended the University of North Florida on a golf scholarship, where he earned First Team All-American honors, helped lead the program to the 1993 NAIA National Championship, and was later inducted into the University of North Florida Athletics Hall of Fame.

Davison and his wife Michelle, along with their dogs Bear, Yoda, Lucy, and Harley, are enjoying life in Michigan. Outside of work, he enjoys riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, watching Georgia Bulldogs athletics, fishing, hiking, and building model trains.
