Granite Falls, NC – We are delighted to announce the grand opening of The Silos at Granada Farms golf course, a cherished local landmark that has undergone major improvements to enhance its beauty and functionality. Located in Granite Falls, North Carolina, the course offers stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The grand opening event took place on Saturday, May 3 from 4:00 – 9:00 p.m. located at 10 River Drive. The celebration included live music, golf and yard games, Twin Brothers Pizza, and beer and wine tastings.

Celebrating the Rebirth of a Historic Course

Designed by Tom Jackson, The Silos at Granada Farms is an 18-hole public course steeped in history. Once a thriving farm, it later became a unique zoo before transforming into the premier golf destination it is today. Nestled in the rolling landscape of a former dairy farm, its rustic barn now serves as a charming clubhouse, adding to its distinctive character. Among its most fascinating features is Hole 3—where beneath the fairway rests Vicki the elephant, a vestige from the property’s time as a zoo from 1957 into the 1960s. Vicki rose to national celebrity status when she escaped the Charlotte Zoo two year earlier for a 9-day romp through southern North Carolina. This rich past makes The Silos at Granada Farms a truly one-of-a-kind experience for golf enthusiasts.

The Silos offers an unforgettable experience for golfers with breathtaking views and a challenging yet enjoyable layout. The course is designed to provide a memorable day on the greens for everyone, from beginners to seasoned players.
