With single-rider transports gaining popularity during the coronavirus pandemic, earlier this year The Georgia Club in Statham became the first golf club in the state to introduce Finn Scooters. The single-rider electric golf carts, aimed at increasing pace of play, were designed by Rick Reiners, former chief executive for Sun Mountain Sports and have been billed as a way to allow golfers finish an 18-hole round in less than two hours. The Georgia Club started with four of the scooters in early May and has since expanded to 12 due to “overwhelmingly positive response from members,” a spokesperson for Bobby Jones Links, the club course’s management company, said. Three other Bobby Jones Links clubs in the Southeast have since implemented the scooters, the spokesperson said.
The principals of Bobby Jones Links own the company - we are not driven by investor expectations or private equity pressure. The benefit to you is happier associates and long-term thinking.
As a result, we don’t leverage our operational leadership across too many clubs. And unlike many companies in our business, we don’t require long-term management agreements with large breakup fees. If you like what we do, you’ll keep us. For more than two decades our clients have renewed our management services more than any other company.
