The People of Bobby Jones Links

Meet Koelten Grissom | Outside Operations at Patriots Point Links

‍

1. When did you join Bobby Jones Links and why?

Around September of 2019.  My wife and I went to see family and they took us to golf, and I fell in love with it. Upon returning I applied at Patriots and was offered an outside services attendant position.

‍

2. Where did you grow up? Tell us about it.

Ames, Iowa where you would find fields, corn, and cows.  People are great but you have to find things to do.

‍

3. What are your passions outside of work?

My wife and I travel to play Magic the Gathering.  I love games, whether it be video or board games.

‍

4. What do you enjoy most about the club business?

Interacting with people and making relationships.

‍

5. Who inspires you in your life and why?

My Mom! She works harder than anyone I know, and I hope to do great things like her someday.

‍

6. What’s the craziest thing you have ever done?

My wife and I just picked up and moved after she graduated.  All of our family lives in Iowa so it was a huge change and risk.

‍

7. What is your favorite movie? Why?

Big Hero 6 or anything Disney really.  It’s fun to live in those worlds for the short amount of time.

‍

8. If you could have one superpower, what would you choose?

Teleportation! Traveling anywhere can be so time consuming.

‍

9. What’s still on your bucket list?

I want to travel to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro.

‍

10. If you could eat any food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Tacos.

‍

11. What are your hobbies outside of work?

Games, Friends, Fitness, and now Golf.
